The sun shining in the falling rain.

A paradox.

But isn’t the paradox what an actor must embrace?

To contain the contradictory and make it read true?

To speak others’ words and craft them as one’s own?

To use shadows of understanding to bring a thought to light?

To clasp the messiness of humanity to clarify a truth?

It is said that sun-showers often end in rainbows:

The paradox creates a vision of beauty on the horizon.

So I hold my umbrella high in the shower under the sun,

Seeking humanity’s rainbows through the lens of my art.
